Perfect Weather For Corn Harvest
Corn is drying well in the field this year
Trent Brandenburg is happy with his harvest progress. The dry weather has enabled the corn harvest to go well and get some drying in the field. The ample soil moisture is helping his soybean pod fill. “I haven’t cut any beans yet,” Trent reported. He wants to get as much of his corn crop harvested while fieldwork conditions are so good. Trent is pleased with his corn yield. Timely rains during pollination and through August have put this year in the “above average” category. The predicted lack of rain for the next week will enable Trent to complete most of his corn harvest.
Trent has experienced no serious disease problems, probably due to his timely use of crop protection chemicals during the season.
